James will do his very best to make your experience an enjoyable memory. He enjoys helping all ages fine tune their fishing skills, as well as teaching a child how to cast a fishing pole for the first time.
Meet Captain James
I am a native Floridian and I have been around the water my entire life. At a very young age, I was on the water with my grandfather who was a commercial fisherman. Once my grandparents opened a seafood restaurant, I was hooked. In my teens, I started seriously fishing for large inshore saltwater species, mainly snook and tarpon. I later followed my passion for the elusive snook and relocated to Costa Rica. Following my time in Costa, I decided to make Belize my home and managed an island 30 miles from shore on the barrier reef. There I enjoyed catching permit, bone fish, and many large unstoppable creatures from the deep. However, my passion for fishing has always kept me in search of the 50 pound snook. Yet it continues to elude me.
I have now settled in Northeast Florida. I love catching inshore species that can spool you (take all the line off your reel) in a matter of seconds. In Northeast Florida we have redfish that exceed 30 pounds and black drum that exceed 70 pounds. Those fish, along with a 15 inch trout or redfish, will be sure to get your heartbeat racing. We are blessed in Northeast Florida to have a year round fishery that is much less pressured than South Florida.
Now that you know about my passion for fishing, I hope I will be able to share that passion with you and provide you fond memories. I am a Coast Guard licensed boat captain and fully insured. I will bring you and your fish back to the dock safely.
